I have an hds live unit on my dash, I updated my unit to the current 20.1 software today and went out this afternoon. I also have the 3d module and transducer. While graphing this is what the screen looked like, I had my surface and sound settings on low return, although I tried medium and high and it didn’t change anything. Is this just silt in the water maybe? Or something wrong with my unit/transducer?

Little bit of Thermacline with a bunch of stirred up carp/debris in the water. My lake has looked like that for weeks on SI.

It's also what pollen will look like when it settles in the water rather than on top. I don't think it's a thermocline because the right side of the DI and 2d are "free" of the clutter.

I see this often in river/creek beds after big storms. Combination of cooler water sliding along the bottom carrying some silt/particulates from the main tributary upstream of there is my guess.

I don't think it's a thermocline because the right side of the DI and 2d are "free" of the clutter. I'd bet you're correct. It's not the right time of year to see a strong thermocline. The surface water is warming but we've only had the one hot day so far and as you pointed out, it stops on the right which isn't how a thermocline should appear.
