Whats up TFF!?!?! Hope everyone is safe and healthy -
If you are sitting at home bored and looking for something to read - this is NOT the report for you. - But if you are coming to the lake and want to catch some fish these notes should help.
As of this post the water level on Lake Fork is at 402.74 and the temperatures where I have been fishing range from 62-65 degrees.
If you are looking for cleaner water try fishing mid-lake
The last few weeks I have been starting out my mornings around 7:00 am fishing main-lake points in 3-5 ft. Some days I am staying on these points until 11:00 -11:30 and others I am moving back in the pockets by 9:00 am. The two baits I am throwing on these points are
EARLY MORNING BAITS• 1. Fish Head Underspin 3/8 oz - Reaction Innovations Little
Dipper (White Trash)
• 2. Line Through Swimbaits - Throw the brand you are
comfortable with - I'm throwing a 7" bait in (Olive Shad)
When I pull off the main-lake points, I am running a lot of different pockets sight fishing. While I am searching for fish on beds, I will have my clients throwing a couple of different baits
SEARCHING BAITS• Owner Flashy Underspin 1/8 oz - Little Dipper (White
Trash)
• V&M Chopstick (Okeechobee Magic) - I am rigging this
weightless with a 3/0 Gamakatsu hook
• Popping Spro Junior Frog (green/yellow)
BED FISH•Texas Rig 5/16 oz - Tungsten 3/0 hook and Ultra Vibe Speed Craw(June Bug)
