Blew a seal out on the trim cap on my boat this past weekend, and need to get a rebuild kit. I can't find anything for this particular model ( I assume its the same as all the other 3.3L HPDI's but everything I search keep going back to the Saltwater version with the snap ring.
Anyone know where I can get one? also would like to get new caps for each cylinder since they have seen some wear and tear over the years.

I did not replace the caps, but I just redid all the seals in a 2008 VZ225 HPDI trim and if you buy the tool you need to get the caps loose (I got mine from Marine Tech Tools), the whole job doesn't take but a couple of hours and takes no other specialty tools. Very easy DIY repair.
I got the seals, o-rings, etc from SIM Yamaha on line.

On some of the upper seals on the trim cap (the seal that fits in the top side f the trim cap) there is a snap ring holding it in place. Mine did not have the snap ring, I just tapped them in with a plastic hammer and a big socket. I think the snap ring would be a more secure connection but so far mine is working fine and does not leak. There is no snap ring groove on my caps.
Also, the middle seal on mine is a double lip seal. It fits in the middle of the cap. Watch carefully how the old one comes out and put the new one in the same way. It is wider on one side than it is on the the, but can be installed either way. Just put the new one in the same direction the old one comes out. It is a little hard to install this seal but it will go in there. It's like putting a 1/2" dia. seal in a 1/4" dia hole, so its a little tedious, but trust me, it will go in there. Do NOT use a sharp object (like a flat blade screwdriver)to try to force it into place. I used a wooden dowel. Take your time so you don't damage the seal.
There is also (IIRC) two rubber o-rings that slip on very easily, one of the bottom end of the shaft along with a plastic split ring and one on the bottom of the cap. All three of thee pieces just slip into place.
This sounds complicated. It is actually harder to describe what to do that it is to do it. There is a good Youtube video that you can find that goes through this step by step.
