Who gets the boat if you’re fishing a team tournament and you win one? Will they let you take a check instead of the boat or do you try to sell it and split the money?

Previous times, the pair that won it takes the hole boat and figures out what to do with it. which entry fee is counted as the winner? The one with the lowest tax bracet. LOL. Depends on how they set it up at the beginning of the year. Just depends on how THEY want to settle it. Rules may have changed, but that was the way it USED to be 10 years or so ago. Most partners have it figured out already prior to getting lucky enough to have the issue.

The only prize they’ve let me take a check instead of the prize was a truck. The boat several years earlier we sold and split 50/50. When it came to the sale we talked and agreed on the number. Best thing to do is sell it a little cheaper than normal to get the quick cash.
