I've opened a new kayak store in Belton, Texas--Heart of Texas Kayaks. We sell Heritage and Liquid Logic kayaks as well as Bending Branches paddles, scotty rod holders, and other kayak accessories.

We'll also have a limited number of kayaks for rent starting in July for anyone that feels like paddling around Lake Belton or Stillhouse Hollow Lake. A few of the rental kayaks will be set-up with rod holders for anyone wanting to fish the lakes.

Check out our website at http://www.hotkayaks.net

I would like to come down and test paddle one of the kayaks. I am the one that posted wanting to keep the price around 600.00 or so. I checked out the website and just looking at the pics of the Heritage it seems like they are made very well. I will send an e-mail Thursday evening to get more info sent for prices and inventory and directions. I am trying to get approved for vacation the end of June and will be about the time I have the money to spend on a kayak. I will probably want a few acc. added like the extra pad eyes, so would it be best to come down a week or so before I intend to buy to test or can I wait until the day I entend to buy to test and leave with a kayak and accesories all in one day. Just trying to save on the travel (gas) as I will be coming from Waxahachie which is about 30 miles South of Dallas.
I just feel better buying from a place with experience than
a sales person in a local sporting goods department that can only read the tag to tell me about the Kayak.
Thanks, Dwayne

Hey Dwayne,

If you could shoot me an email at colleen@hotkayaks.net I can send you all the inventory and pricing information.

I'm actually up in the Dallas area every now and then...so you might not have to drive all the way down to me to test out the Heritage. Also, based on your timeline you just told me, if you decide to purchase a Redfish kayak from me, I can deliver it to you at no cost. I know I'm already going to be delivering other kayaks in the Dallas/Fort Worth area the first or second week in July while visting some friends. So, if you're a little flexible in delivery dates, I could get a fully rigged kayak up to you with no extra delivery costs.

If you do want to come down to Belton though and pick it up sooner, depending on the workload and what you want added, I could probably get your kayak all put together for you in one day. It would take me a few hours though, so you do decide to do it that way, come to Belton hungry! There is the best Mexican food place and also a great BBQ place in town. Or bring your fishing gear and you can take one of our demo kayaks out for a trip around Belton Lake while you're waiting.

Good luck in the kayak search!
Colleen
