Has anyone ever changed one? I have a Mercury outboard 200 XRI black max. The sender itself has broke off where it mounts to shaft/motor. I have a new one on order but was wondering will it be as easy as it looks to change, or harder? Looks to be a easy as just bolting new on and running the wires to where they go into motor. Or is there more to it? Thanks

Simple job. You will need to calibrate the new one when installed. Simply raise/tilt motor full up and rotate sender gently until gauge pointer hits up mark then check/adjust in the full down position.

Thanks for the reply T Bird. Should get the part in sometime this week. If I run into any issues you may getting a message from me lol.

Yep, simple job. Only problem I had was keeping wires out the way of the motor when trimming down. There is not a whole lot of adjustment to them. Start in the middle. I hgv and one break because I list the roll pun out of the tilt rod (not sure of actual term). Might check it and see if it has shifted.
