with recent recommendations to wear cloth masks, but none available, dont ya think a buff will suffice, the goal is not to stop the virus, just to stop transmission thru hand to face contact (which they are now saying is the main route)

Mike. remember just a few months ago that we would get shot if we went into a store with a mask on our face? Now, everyone wants us to wear one.

I have a couple of them and thought about this my self. I tried my merino wool buff yesterday by rolling it up a couple of times, making 4 layers. It fit tight around the bridge of the nose but was loose around the bottom jaw. I would think it needs to fit tight across the jaw and you would need a filter of some kind as well.

I'm going to use my fishing buff with a cloth napkin inserted inside over my mouth and nose for additional filtration. It's going to look weird but may fit right in with other DIY's.

Prepare for the future-it will be here tomorrow. Personal Best Large Mouth Bass 9 lbs. 12 oz 5/13/19. Herb Stein, who famously reminded us that โif something canโt go on forever, it will stop.โ
