Never been on the lake before, plan on launching at the ramp off 180. Any help would be appreciated

No worries on main lake at all. If you decide to go up in Big Sandy or Hubbard Creek use your gps and follow creek channel. Once you are in the creek you can see the creek channel no problem.

I’ll play. Had a day similar to what you are going to experience if going this weekend. It was about this time last year. Unseasonably cold and strong north wind on the day we went. Put in at 180 ramp headed straight north under bridge towards main lake to the many islands about a mile straight north(towards dam). Huge grass covered flats 4’-7’ deep for thousands of acres on the south side of these islands. Initially we went here to block the strong north wind but had a banner day(all day) throwing little squarebill crankbaits around the edges of the grass all over this area. Weather sucked. Had a great fishing day. Good luck! [Linked Image]
