Honestly, it’s people with no scruples, conscience, morels...that have caused these companies to have to crack down on their previous “relaxed” return policies. It’s people bringing back broken rods they got on sale and getting full refunds or the guys that come on here all the time and proudly state they simply bring back their Walmart Everstart Marine batteries every couple years before they are out of warrantee(and still in good condition) and brag how they never have to pay for marine batteries. Pretty sure the changes weren’t to profit off all who come in requesting refunds without receipts. Idle time is bringing out the conspiracists! laugh

Do not use common sense to dispel the agenda that was the target of the OP

You can thank years of people taking advantage of their return policy.

Yeah, I’m going to quit watching NFL games and buying Nike footwear because some Coast Guard reservist thought he got jobbed by Academy

I don’t get it why some veterans think they should be entitled to special consideration

Jim, thank you for your service. Seriously, thank you sir! If you have a receipt, you'll get a full refund. If you don't have a receipt, you'll get a refund based on the lowest price within the past 90 days. That's the standard practice for the past 10 to 15 years.

Pull what chit? I'd be a happy camper if I happened to be there when they marked something I wanted "way low"

That is smart marketing. It get people to stop in and check for deals.

Academy often has some smoking deals but they are store to store. Have seen some craziness like a certain color Jackhammer for $3.99 or $200 rods for $35.

Clearance stuff. What doesn't sell gets shipped out. Not sure where but they clear inventory.

Bold of you to assume these opinions aren’t shared by other veterans.

Your sense of entitlement is embarrassing to the rest of us.
