It is not $1000 off and is no "big sale". That unit is a 2019/2020 special run model known as a HW Promo unit that was first available for the Black Friday sales at Bass Pro and Cabelas-- it was made for that price point.
It is priced at about what the close-out sale of the 2017/2018 G2N model was.
There is a Helix 10 and Helix 12 version, the transducer model is XM 9 1012 HW MSI T--the 1012 denotes the two unit models.
It has a special SI transducer that has a Low-Q High Wide piezo for 140-240 kHz 2D sonar and is not available as an accessory. The transducer is the same size as the MEGA SI+ G3N transducers so the mounts for the G3N will work with it as well as the after market mounts.
Some are calling it the G2.5N model.
It's a great unit for the price though, but won't run the MEGA 360 is that is in your plans.

Thank Wayne! I am just going to use it on the console for SI and making way points.. Do you think its good for that?

Thank Wayne! I am just going to use it on the console for SI and making way points.. Do you think its good for that? It's an excellent unit just above the discontinued G2N level with the HW CHIRP 2D sonar so the 2D sonar is better.
