Howdy fellow slab hunters, I'm jadyfish and it's good to be back here at the forum.

I used to have an account here several years ago in high school (I'm 23 now), I slowly drifted away to other things but due to the unforeseen pause in my life thanks to the corona virus, I've had some free time to get back to my roots. I can proudly say that I've fallen in love with the thump again and need some good insight from anyone who's willing to give their 2 cents. I know there are tons of you out there with a lot of knowledge and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me a few rod brand recommendations? I want something around 8 ft. and I'm open to trying anything out. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to respond and good luck out there to everyone!

I personally got EM All! 5', 5'-6" up too 12' any everything in between!!

If I could only keep 1, it would be the 7'6" ACC Split Grip.

I'd Tack That!!

9’ bnm BGJP... they’re indestructible and doesn’t hurt your pocket book when you break it. Their customer service is top notch too.

Man, just get a rod that is designed to detect a light crappie bite that fits your budget. The ability to boat swing a big crappie is overrated. You can net it or bend over and thumb it up. Don't spend too much dough on hype

I love my "Sam's super sensitive" 7' rod. It's not a high dollar rod, it works great for me though. With 4 or 6 pound mono i can feel even the tiniest bites. It has enough backbone to reel in small catfish too when they take my jigs.

SHSS is prolly the toughest rod I’ve ever fished with. I’ve boat flipped 2lbers with mine.
