I am looking for somewhere to launch a kayak on Lake Grapevine - preferably on the Flower Mound side.
Twin Coves park is shut down as the flood waters are over the park entrance road.
Murrell Park is shut down because that's how Flower Mound deals with things.
Is Rockledge Park open? I found a web page that says yes but it hasn't been updated in a month.
Do they still have an attendant taking cash at the gate?

I drove by after my essential work job. They are open. The gate attendant was there and said I could bring a kayak in. I just need to time it to avoid high wind and rain.

As windy as it has been and mostly out of the south I would think you woould want to launch on the Grapevine side maybe fish Silverlake or Scotts.

I live and work in Flower Mound so the North side is my preference. Mid next week looks promising.

Yeah most of the time I fish the north side since just a few minutes from Murrell but when super windy I will fish the south side.

I am closer to Twin Coves Park which is usually somewhat wind protected.

It's 15 feet high with rain coming. They are pulling 5k+cfs out of the Lew. They drain to the same place. The Vine will rise untill Lew is 4 or less feet high.

Remember the Corps nicknamed the Lewisville dam "trouble". They want it at normal pool asap.

I'm with you though mate.

If it wasn't for this other thing the fact that we've had the wettest 3 months to start a year in recent history would be the big story.
