We should listen to him. He should know a thing or two about viruses... he's got an insider's windows on the subject since 95.

With the creative, innovative and adaptive society we are we'll conquer this and it will open up opportunities to provide for the needs and services that present themselves.

Bill wants to turn the country off and restart it later. Works on a computer. Not so much on people

You just have to be very disciplined with a history of being careful with your resources. All it takes is 3 weeks of strict shut down, instead of months of malignant spiraling.

You just have to be very disciplined with a history of being careful with your resources. All it takes is 3 weeks of strict shut down, instead of months of malignant spiraling. I agree, but the problem is that so many don't. They are not willing to do anything like a shelter in place. And that is just going to prolong the issue for everyone. Dr. Deborah Birx put it very well when she said that there was no vaccine right now (and that might not happen for 12-18 months), and there's no magic bullet. But, we can stop this thing with our behaviors.
Family is everything!
Life is precious. We don’t have forever. We have now. This moment. We can choose to love our lives now.

Shutting down your life for 10 weeks in Bill Gates’ world is much different than shutting down the life of an average American worker. When you are Bill Gates, 10 weeks of shut down could be very entertaining.
