Be kind to your customer service folks. We're people too.

I know everybody is stressed and it's a trying time. But please don't call random customer service lines just to yell at somebody. It's not nice and makes us have a bad day. Especially when it's multiple people in a row doing it.

And the lines can be flooded because a lot of stay at home slackers have nothing better to do than call a company they do business with and bitch about something stupid. It's not the person that ended up taking your call's fault that you were on hold for a long time. So don't yell at them like it's their fault you were on hold!!

Everybody on earth needs to work front lines dealing with the public just to understand what the public is like and why manners are so important.

I agree, unless you work for the cable company. Then you deserve all the venom I am going to spew in your direction. I will ask you politely one time to put down your script and just answer my question(s). After that you get what you deserve.

I was mostly kidding. But, I spent an hour or so on hold one time. Then my son had baseball practice. I handed the phone to my wife. We went to practice, and got home a couple hours later, and she was still on hold/getting sent from person to person. I then spent another couple of hours on the phone. This was FIOS. I work from home, and have to have internet. It took days to get it cleared up. I hate them.

Well another good strategy is to threaten to sue. I didn't know so many people had lawyers. You know like when there is a small account fee for services provided and they feel it's an illegal practice for a for profit company to actually charge a customer a fee for a service provided. The good ole..."You'll be hearing from my lawyer" is great when we are talking about $20.00. And then there are the social media celebrities. They love to threaten how they are going to express their dissatisfaction over something very petty and that they have 120 followers and their issue will go viral....Ok, have fun with that.

Call during normal hours usually helps a lot. It's like standing in front of a bank after hours waiting for them to open. Then you'd be like..."I stayed here all night trying to get service!". Yeah cause we were closed.

You wouldn't believe the people who call and call and call on weekends or at 3am "WHY CAN'T I GET AHOLD OF ANYBODY!!!" Cause we're closed jerkwad.
