The only issue I had was the VRO pump on the 89 Evinrude. The factory did not replace the oil rings on the VRO pump to ethanol rated oil rings. Fuel lines etc were ethanol rated and so are the ones on the 2012 Yamaha. So the annual fuel line replacement statement made above I don't think is correct. Sorry.

just use regular gas and add 1 oz of B-12 ($3.00 at Walmart) per gallon and you will be OK

FWIW....some guys here were buying ethanol free gas from a convenience store near Seminole.....they were having problems with trash and water in the gas....this store didn't do much non ethanol gas volume especially during the winter and store has since closed......also recall reading some comments on a fishing forum from another fisherman from a different area that said he worked for a company that had a lot of water/trash problems with non ethanol gas they used in their small engines...
also have noticed there's a convenience store near me that is always busy except for the pump that sells non ethanol that's 70-80 cents a gallon higher than ethanol gas....about all you ever see at that pump is a landscaper filling up lawnmowers and gas tanks...

Or just use whatever gas is convenient with no additives and you will be fine
