Only during the warmer months, especially with the sun out, will my console unit intermittently stop reading sonar and imaging. It will then pick back up for a few seconds and stop. It will do this all day if I don’t keep a towel draped over it or turn the unit off while I’m on the front deck. Works without issue the rest of the year. Seems like an overheating issue, screen is quite hot to the touch, but what do I know? Anybody else have this issue or heard of it before? Thanks in advance.
If you can't find em wind em.

A buddy had an HDS 9 in the bow panel that would blank out on hot days. He removed it from the panel and mounted it up on a bracket where it at least got some exposure to air for heat convection. It stopped blanking out when he did that.
