Honestly? There's a little 13 acre watershed conservation pond right across the road from my house. It's land locked by private properties but I used to have access through a buddy's place. That little pond is the most reliable body of water I've ever been on for loading up on huge crappie. If I was fishing purely for fun I'd fly fish or toss little jigs. If I was loading up for a fish fry I'd just walk around the bank dabbling a live minnow just off the bank. I remember one time I believe I could have lit the grease and been home with a bag of filets before it was hot.
Certainly not an adventure destination, but for pure and simple fishing fun, that's where I'd be social isolating right now.

I said Tawakoni but I have noticed my secret lake has become one big housing edition. I guess everyone from Dallas moved in and made it crowded. I hate crowds. Now I would say Texoma where you can be by yourself.

Flamingo, Florida, Everglades National Park, Snook, Tarpon, Redfish, Bonefish, Sea Trout, and 295 other species of fish.
Had plans to be there for vacation this week but park is closed.

i would move to Page, AZ if it wasnt so darn cold in winter... Lake Powell...great golf course there as well...i only have 2 pics on phone, but google images...it'll blow your mind! if you DO go, and i go every summer, avoid the restaurant 'real texas bbq'...the worst...ever...of all time...inedible...

This week I would take Lake Powell. Smallmouth and Largemouth fishing is as good as it gets there right now. The scenery is also hard to beat. Without trying too hard I think I could catch 200 fish a day there right now. Most wouldn't be that big but this spring they are fatter than average and we all know the fat one pull much harder than the skinny ones.
