If you don't need it you don't have to take it so notify the holders you don't want automatic withdrawals if you want to stop them for 2020.

Good deal for those meeting the 70 1/2 requirement. Since I'm only 66, my RMD age will be 72 as set by the Secure Act. The Gov. just don't want us dying and leaving that money to our heirs. We didn't build that bridge, the Govt. built it. grin

Not sure. Doesn't address that in the article. Like most bills, probably some wrinkles to work out.
