I had Mike and Kim out today on LOP. They have been coming about once a month since October. Kim says it is cheaper than a boat payment and I clean the fish. We found them in 12 to 15 foot of water right against the bottom of the trees. They didn’t really look like fish as much as just a small pile on the bottom. Most of them were caught with 1/4 oz hand tied jigs with a few caught on minnows. Weather wise it was about as nice a day to be on the water with good friends as you could ask for. When I cleaned them, I found all the females were pretty much empty of eggs. Last weekends fish looked like they were going to bust. Do you suppose I have missed the shallow bite again?

I don't think so, I'm still catching males and females shallow, females in boat houses and bridge in different stages of spawn... I started catching them shallow back during the full moon in March
