I have both, my perspective is I prefer Lakemaster for contours and integration into my I-Pilot link. However depending on lake the Lakemaster chip is awful for roadbeds and creeks. You have zoom in to see the small creek lines on Lakemaster while Navionics is better on listing roadbeds and creeks are visible when zoomed all the way out. I use a 15†Solix. On Lake a Ray Hubbard the Lakemaster chip has almost no roadbeds.
If I am new to a lake I like Navionics for navigation and Lakemaster for scouting spots.
To be honest I use Lakemaster about 75% of the time.

It depends on the lake. I think Lakemaster is better in the deep south vs Texas. I have the Lakemaster dsk but don't have the Navionics disk for my DF's but the web app is much better for Texas lakes than Lakemaster.
