I have a hummingbird 1197C installed at the console and the down imaging side imaging and sonar quit working but the GPS is still working. Would that be my transducer cable or could there be something else wrong if it is my transducer cable where would be the best place to get one?

The transducer is the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T. Just do a web search for that name and purchase from the least expensive place. There are some rip-offs if you don't compare prices. I have seen some listed at lot above MSRP.
Check to make sure you have not turned Sonar OFF in the settings menu.
GPS works separate from sonar so either the transducer is not plugged in, has been torn off the cable, or has a damaged cable.

Had the same problem. As Wayne suggested, check that you haven't turned the sonar off.
