Got out to the lake this morning just wanted to share a quick report with y'all.

Water was 67-69 and still pretty muddy, at least where I was fishing.

Started slow, nothing on top, nothing on square bills or flipping.

Broke the ice with a slab on a spinnerbait. Ended up catching two big crappie on the spinnerbait. Then I finally got into some largemouth. Ended the day with 7, including a really nice one! Caught all of them on spinnerbait just as shallow shallow as you can get.

Pretty good day.

Nope. Not mine; because it has more than 3 colors. Dan built a good one though with the Orange blade. I would definitely throw it in stained water. Good report Dan.

Big ole slab right there!

Went to Murrell this weekend. Guard gate is still down but I have a marina pass. The high water ramp is completely under water. Can't even see where the road ends and the ramp begins. Lake is going to have to lose several feet of water before anything is usable. And more rain forecasted this week.

I saw folks putting in and coming out at Silver Creek ramp (off the Dam rd) last evening

Dang... Hate to hear that, wanted to get out there and try for a smallie.

Guess thats going to be on hold for a while.

They make a killing off that ramp, I refuse to wait in line forever, deal with the lousy parking and pay $$$ toward their retirement. It would be different if they backed off on the ramp fee...
