Just had a sinking thought.
How many people are going to be ruined financially if / when they catch it and need help? How many will be turned away because they can’t afford treatment? It’s literally an instance of “your money or your life”

I thought I saw where President Trump said citizens with Covid-19 symptoms would be treated regardless to being insured or not.

I’d love to see him enforce that, but we all know to take whatever he says with a grain of salt.

Evidently, Covid-19 symptons don't apply to 19 year olds or Urgent Care facilities don't take IOU's from the government. https://thehill.com/policy/healthca...rus-was-turned-away-from-urgent-care-due

The Kaiser Family Foundation recently released a study predicting the average cost of coronavirus treatment for someone with insurance and without health complications would total around $9,763, and treatment for someone with complications could top $20,000. The amount someone with insurance would pay out-of-pocket varies depending on their plan, but the study estimates it could exceed $1,300.

Yes, that was my original point reiterating your point. My apologies for trying to do so by addressing coach hark and you in the same post which was obviously confusing. My original comment was directed at him and the link reiterated what you said.

It is 2 in the morning. Fuzzy thinking is to be expected.

Going back to the topic though. I can remember a lot of time that I didn’t have any insurance and didn’t have the $1300 even if I did. And I can imagine there’s a lot of people out there that don’t have it either.

I probably won't have insurance after April. Which probably means I'll test positive and need hospitalization May 1st.

Thanks for the correction. Insurance, on the other hand is a whole new topic. It’s a racket basically.
