Nothing for me to get over. I've seen grown men shoot a .50 cal using a sling to hold it down and it put them on their arse, nearly breaking the wrist of one of them. You're telling me a kid can do it?

I'd believe it (to an extent) had they said he used a 300 ultra mag or something like that.

Do I beleive that a hog can grow to 1000lbs? I think it's very possible, but not in the wild. It's possible to grow 400 inch deer too, but they live their lives inside of protected pens, fed the best of the best, and tranquilized regularly to keep diseases at bay. I just don't see people spending that kind of money to grow 1000lb hogs.

Red Man? Come on now. So, because I have a pic of me with my horse, I must be chewing on a plug? OK.

Lets see some more of your intelligence...

The dad said in the cnn interview that he set up the trip for the kid so I assume the farm grew this bad boy in a controlled environment to be taken this way. Who knows if its real or not...but that Cali fish was real man!

Not saying it's not possible, simply difficult to believe. I'm 6'2 and weigh 230 lbs and even I'd have a hard time shouldering the abuse that the revolver dishes out...and I love punishing guns. My 300 Ultra is no walk in the park, and while I know a few 11 yr olds that COULD take the abuse, none of them would be able to hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle, more or less be accurate with a 6 inch barrel revolver.

You and I agreed in the first place. We simply said that it is hard to believe. Just because we think that, we get picked at by someone. It is sad that we had to break it down to his level to make it easy for him to understand that it was just an opinion.

From the way I understand it, the boy's father was with him, so I'm sure dad had a hand in helping ( maybe quite q bit). And didn't this take like 2 or 3 hours to put the hog down? And something like 4 - 6 shots from the pistol?
I just can't believe people would wish death on the boy and his father over this deal. And a horrible death at that! eeks
