I have always used MH but I was wondering what everyone thought was. I know there is no standard but just wondering y’all’s preference.

Yup I agree..... also what line I’m using. Dingy dirty water and not much cover. 50lb braid on a 7’2 mh for me.

I like to use a heavy power rod for any jigs weighing 3/8 oz or more, especially when flipping or pitching. With lighter weight jigs that are around a 1/4 oz or lighter for use on calmer days, heavily pressured waters, on in shallower water I like using a medium heavy power rod quite often. I hope this helps, good luck!
