Used to fish it when I was in a bass club, you could run up the east fork and hit weed patches with a black and chart 6" worm and catch 50 bass a day but very few keepers. Fish from the bridge south with fire tiger cranks, spinnerbaits and buzz baits and catch fewer fish but some nice 3-5 pound fish. Most creeks you have to be on plane running in because the mouth will be silted in but then drop off once you get past the mouth.

Fish don't look dead. If it was it was for a few minutes. I don't think it was dead though.

Eyes usually tell the story of a fish being alive or not, especially on a big fish. That fish looks very much alive imho.
