I once lived just minutes from that lake and fished it for many years. Snow would be coming down on us and the fishing was phenomenal. Glad you got to experience that.

Texoma. Chance to catch Smallmouth on a fly rod.

Some people go to church and think about fishing. Some go fishing and think about God.

I would go to Pickwick below the dam for the next three weeks. Greatest blue cat fishing in the world!

Second choice would be Florida St. Johns River for bass and bream.

Traverse City Bays for very large smallmouth bass, Clearwater River through Orofino Idaho for large numbers of smallies, like 100+ per day, Lake Falcon and Lake Fork for a chance at a double digit largemouth, The chain of lakes in Tennessee for high consistent large mouth bass fishing, and Broken Bow lake in Oklahoma because you can always catch a few bass, both largemouth and smallies and the lake is just so beautiful with lots of long creeks to fish in where you can get out of any wind. Best Luck.

My wife and I love the Branson area and we go to Table rock and bull shoals every time we are there to walk and sight see, I have always wanted to bring the boat and camp/fish these two.

Lake Tawakoni and heres why.
Catching a 2 pound crappie there is no big deal.
Good sand bass lake
Surpassing other lakes as a great striper lake.
Everyone knows its the best catfishing lake there is.
Only bad news it has a snake population that is crazy big
