Buying on the way down. Thursday's unemployment claims will drive the markets down, IMO.

Only has to go down another 5,000 pts to be at 50% of the high. Wouldn't be surprised to see it get there with unemployment numbers and the earning reports that will look dismal. The stimulus pkg will help if ever passed but it is not the solution. Most interesting dynamic I have seen in my 80 years.

I give it one year to be back to normal, once this virus starts to go away the market's going to take off like crazy.

Viruses do not just “go away”. It’s here to stay
Even with the flu vaccine, people still get the flu

Going forward, people need to be healthier and more hygienic.....and more careful with their money and resources

My financial planner says on average it is a 2 year recovery turnaround.

Excellent points Doc! And how many guys on here every year say they don't take a flu shot? About half.

We get what we deserve. Wonder how many of those same guys would be lined up to get the vaccine for the corona

If they knew it all, they wouldn’t be financial planners, but multi billionaires drinking margaritas on their private island and deep sea fishing every day.

I think it might go down another 2K if unemployment keeps rising. That being said I'm watching tech stocks especially those that have anything to do with tele-working software or hardware. I think that sector will grow given how all of us will be a little more leery of close contact going forward with the possibility of this virus making another run at us in the fall. But if I had a clue I would have bought that Apple stock back in the 70's when Woz and Jobs were getting started in the Bay area when I lived there...:)
