Construction is a essential service. I think it said construction contributing to essential infrastructure. so roadways, hospitals, etc. not private construction.

Construction is a essential service. I think it said construction contributing to essential infrastructure. so roadways, hospitals, etc. not private construction. I heard him say residential and commercial construction. Do you have a link showing otherwise?

Whole bunch of y’all need to wake up. This is going to have to happen statewide. Everybody wants to talk about how China is getting back to normal, and how it’s getting better there, not to worry! Well it’s getting better because they locked the damn country down. Abbott was pretty clear today in that he had no intentions to make it statewide based on the data he has. Local government will have to do it. Reality many already are doing it. At this point getting on TV to announce it is more symbolic than substance.

Just looked it up again. its listed under "critical infrastructure" but you are correct. it does list commercial and residential. i just misread it.

I bet he knew as they know well before we do.

Governor said county officials had authority to do so but since 200 of his counties had 0 positive cases he wasn’t ordering it.
