I'm looking at purchasing boarding steps for the Ranger. Trick Step & Easy Step are the 2 companies most heard about, are there more options out there besides custom fabrication?

I've been looking too! I see some nice looking ones on the new Rangers at Cabela's. I plan on asking Robert if those will fit and if I can order them.
I have friends who have the Easy Step and say they will always have one on their boats.

If I'm remembering correctly, the Easy Step is the one typically at almost 2x the price of the Trick-Step. Trick-Step is the one I've seen most commonly on Ranger boats - even as dealer installed options. Trick-Step does have a lot of the Ranger product line covered with great-fit models specific to each boat and year.

You might want to check out the Ranger steps also. Very nice. Also, you enter the boat more from the side instead of directly over the bow. The Ranger steps have rounded corners so that if a mishap should occur with loading the boat is less damaged.

I put Trick Steps on mine and I can say that I will not have another boat without them! I am 6' 7" 260 pounds they do not give any when I step on them.

Here is pic of my steps on my PT 175 TXW Bass Tracker Purchased main step w/hand pole from Tracker Marine Parts using the nitro parts. Only modification to my set up was drilling two holes for bolt on in the winch support. then adding the hand made first step on tongue from 1/4" aluminum plate with u-bolt fasteners. ![[Linked Image]](http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/xq90/922/nNhHhH.jpg)
