03/02/2020 WATER LEVEL 1,084.55 Monday March 2, 2020 Level is 32.45 feet below full pool of 1,117.00 WATER TEMP: 58ish The past few weeks of cold fronts have fish scattered from 2ft - 50ft. As usual the majority of fish are in the grass but Ive also caught several from 30-50ft dropshotting this past week. Lots of bait balls suspended 30+.. Jerkbaits, sqbills, traps, and the usual senko type plastics have been working in the grass areas. Prefishing for BassChamps 2/16/20 I caught a 7.15 and few other quality fish very shallow. I found a few bed fish but it didnt last. A week of off limits changed that plan and they were long gone tournament day. 21lbs won the BChamps tournament on 2/22/20. Congrats! The guys were dropshotting and tossing A-rigs. The Sun Country tournament was here this past weekend. 32lbs won it for 2 days. There are several sticks in that gang. Im surprised the weights werent much higher. A local weighed a 11 1/2 last week. Pic below but no details... TTZ is in town next weekend 3/07/20. This week the lake is off limits for TTZ and yet again the weatherman is calling for a front mid week so who knows. My guess is someone will stop on pocket full of bed fish and bust a giant bag. Its that time. Ill be on Don Martin the rest of this week. 36lbs won the first Border Anglers Fishing Trail there Saturday 2/29/20. They weighed 3 over 10lbs. A 14lbr was caught the day before. Pics below. Their next tournament is 3/21/20 on Amistad - no off limits! Interested in a guide trip please call or text (830) 768-3648... www.amistadbass.com Thanks, Stan 7.15 Amistad 11 1/2lbs Amistad 14 Don Martin

Good report-------------I got to fish with Stan a few weeks ago. Had a blast and caught some fish. Been a long time since I've fished with someone else.. It was great to hear some fresh ideas and let someone else run the boat. After 30 years of fishing it was like taking a vacation.....I learned something new and got out of a rut I'd dug for myself.
I fished the Sun Country tournament and agree with Stan.. There were 3 teams fishing it that were all in the top ten at BC that did not get a check this week. On the flip side the top two teams In SC didn't do much in BC. The fronts and changing conditions will drive you nuts this time of year.. With that said-get you a trip booked soon as it could be the trip we all dream of.

LAKE IS OPEN & FISHING IS GOOD. I’ve been catching 30-50 fish per day on average. Ive heard some catching 80-100. Couple nights we had heavy rains and some of the spawn areas got muddy for the day. It slowed the bite but we still caught several fish. Of the fish I’ve seen on beds I’ve not seen many females lately. Wind might be a factor.. Lots of fish in several depths as always. Past week a 11 & a 12lbr were caught shallow. A couple 9-10 were caught 25ft. Water level is dropping like a rock which is creating new areas deleting others. Lots of grass drying on the banks. Big difference when compared to a week ago. Some creeks have unmarked rock inches under the surface so keep your eyes open wide & don’t cut corners. Call if interested in a trip.
