Very true. Supposedly Hunt County Regional had a few tests show positive but it’s all unconfirmed.

There are zero confirmed that I can vouch for but it’s been 24 hrs since I talked to my ER friend.

As of today, my cousins in Houston are showing symptoms, but were still ordered to come to work. Others in their 20s showing symptoms are told by the hospitals and doctors to go home. That they have tested negative for the flu, and did do a proper covid19 test, but said it would be five days before they got a result back.

Meanwhile they're just going about their daily business.

Symptoms are one thing but specific symptoms are another.

This is screening criteria even at hospitals, from the CDC and State of Texas:

Fever
Cough
Shortness of breath

Have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 or live in or have recently traveled from an area with ongoing spread of COVID-19.

I don't personally agree with this but testing kits for COVID-19 are at a premium. Once this is over we'll find out we weren't strigent enough with testing I am sure. BTW ... my unit has been chosen as the care unit in SE Tx ... it will take sick patients that fit screening profiles (chest Xray is very important) . I can't wait to return to work tomorrow. eek

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

We live in Angelina County and there is a relative of family that lives here that tested positive.

He doesn't live in Angelina Co. but was visiting with his grandchild at their daycare last week.

They have informed everyone and quarantined them and I think they are waiting on tests for the ones that showing symptoms. eeks

That's great information! Flight numbers and places visited by the infected person, good stuff. I wonder why we don't see that level of information for everyone else that's infected?

Kendall County now has 1 confirmed, they’ve given ZERO details on it. I just want to know if he went someplace on our spring break (Last week) to have contracted it or if is was from San Antonio.

Man, I wish jefferson county officials were half that good. The refused to release any info on where the person had been or anything.
