sour milo, how long is too long

Each time I start a bucket of milo to sour I always write the date on the lid so I will know how old it is...well I found one bucket I figure has been sitting for a year or two...it has never gone dry it had plenty of water on it. How long is too long? I don't think you can let it sit too long, but I wanted to ask

sour milo never goes bad. i know people who have several 5 gallon buckets over 10 years, it just gets better

if you can open the lid without passin out it can go for a while longer.

The older, the better! I agree with Catfish_Hunter's signature. The worse it smells, the more catfish will like it.

Yeah, I had a bucket behind my shed that i forgot about until it tipped over and spilled out and my wife brought it to my attention in no uncertain terms. I had a bucket of it turn over and leak some out in the bed of her truck one time. I told her, "Thats how it is when you marry a fisherman." Fortunately she understands.
