Couldn't catch any fish deep so went shallow. Fished from 10:00 to 5:00. Must have caught 60 - 70 crappie. 1/16th oz Road runner white head, small silver spinner with a (2") blue body and white curly tail.

I kept 17 crappie but threw back another 20 or so that were 11"s long. Bass were up in shallow water spawning with the crappie and that was a blast on an ultra light with 20lb braid.

Most of the crappie were in the dam area so the bulk of the Spawn for bigger fish will be over soon. Water temp was 65 most places I fished. The next full moon will bring another wave of crappie in but they will get smaller as Time goes along.

Pick a day without any major wind and rain forecast and give it a try!

I found the same thing on Pines but used a slip cork and jig, crappie and bass.

When I filleted the crappie, it turns out they were all males except for one.

There may be some time left for big spawning females!
