I'm not trying to be like Bio 'O and bash MLF or anything. I just gotta say the format is really confusing. There is Group A and B, qualifying, knockout. ect. I can't seem to follow how the field is eliminated. I thought the biggest bag of Group A went to the next round but saw MDJ fishing today. Just saying... its hard to follow.

Group A & B each fish 2 days, The overall winner of each group goes to the final round. Then the top 20 of each group fish for the final 8 spots. I think lol...

They usually explain it each day on the livestream. I was confused too, but now after seeing it it makes sense. I still don't get all these other deals like the Heavy hitters and such, but when I get time I will read more on it. Now that I understand it a little better, what I am watching makes more sense.

They still are on the lake for too many days IMO. I do really like that they release fish with no weigh ins. That is so much better on the resource.

Its just a new game with new rules, once you get down the basics its not that hard. Go watch cricket its the same way if you don't understand it but once you get the basics...

in addition to the regular bass pro tour they fish what they call cups. For every two tournaments the anglers fish the top 30 get to fish a sponsored cup with the top prize of $100,000. for which there still are NO entry fees.
The Heavy Hitters cup will be held in May at Big O taking the top 30 anglers with the heaviest combination of one from each event added together. So catching a big fish at Fork helps that whole situation. This is going to pay out a total purse of $750,000 with no entry fee.
And then the top 30 anglers in points qualify for the Red Crest championship which is their "classic". Again this is a no entry fee with a winner purse of considerable amounts.
Lake Fork Anglers Every Thursday Daytime Tournaments. Lake Fork Sportsman's Association www.lakeforksa.com/We are VERY PROUD of our Induction into the Texas Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame.

I really like the format of weighing your fish and releasing. Have to figure out a pattern and areas that will keep producing fish...2 lb fish. Seem to always have a good finish of those trying to get that 20th spot to get to the knock out round plus at least a couple guys competing for top spot to go straight to championship. They hit Fork perfect. Most the guys I heard say they had a horrible practice then the big wave moved up and she busted loose. It was fun to watch. Wonder what it will take to make top 8 tomorrow? 45lbs?

I thought first prize for a Cup was $50k , from what I heard Marty say. Regardless, it is a better paying series if you perform, because you have 8 free, plus four cups you can qualify for , plus HH and the Red Crest, all at no cost to the angler. Now if you are getting checks but you are from 31-40 you are missing out on the Cup's which is basically your bonus money because you get paid just for making the 30 man field.
