He should have been DQ by MLF after reviewing the video and consulting with boat Marshall, but instead MLF took down video and choose to ignore what really happened. Its all about the ratings and money and choose not to give the sport a black eye, the good old honor system!

Saw Flowers FB post. Reads like a drunk post from Flowers! He turned straight to the marshall has he was pulling the hook. From the video, I see nothing indicating a snagg. The fish was turned a bit like it was wrapped, but don't know. What's out there that is conclusive?

The video of Sprague's snagged fish is on Randy Flowers FB page It aint the entire video though. The original actually showed him setting the hook and sight fishing.

I also saw where Timmy Horton got completely out of his boat to land a fish. They weighed and counted it. I didnt think that was legal in a tournament.......

I like Timmy Horton and watching MLF but getting out of a boat and walking in waist deep water 10 feet to retrieve a fish is not catching a fish in my books.

This aint golf,...all's fair in love and war,.....NFL,......NBA,.....and Bass Fishing. It's not a foul or penalty if ya dont get caught, are a star, or leading the pack. Those Marshalls are spineless, I see violations all the time on fish landings,....some call em,...some dont. Get over it.

Surely you're joking Not at all,...everyone on here seems to think that he "foul hooked" a fish,....if he did, shouldnt he have immediately said so..?? Why didnt he call his own penalty..? I think there was no foul, or he would have called it.

BTL talked to Sprague and got an explanation. It's on today's show. Sprague said he was sight fishing but was watching a couple of fish on a bed when he threw away from it and got the fish in the side. Admitted he turned his back on the camera but his official cleared him and MLF cleared him afterwards.
