Wife and I both caught 5 a piece at Lake Athens. Best I've done, but I'm an amateur.

That's awful HB. We fished for crappie and catfish in shallow water today and didn't catch a thing. This weather has them messed up in my opinion.

Depends.
Two weeks ago I caught 21 in two hours.

Last Saturday, that same number took six hours.

It depends on the fishing trip goal. Am I searching for big fish? am I searching new areas? Am I wanting to catch lots of fish? Am I alone or do I have someone who rarely fishes looking to catch fish? lots variables.

January and February I probably averaged 2 bites in 4 hours on Lake Travis. Earlier this week, I caught 15+ in 2 hours. I know it won't last, but my goodness it's great now.
