fish my trim on merc 200 efi doesn't /quit working .I can hit trim button on motor or at console , can hear motor but engine doen't move think its just low on fluid .? what type of fluid do I need. ?? plain ol hyd or merc quicksilver special fluid ?? thanks for info

My 85 Black Max called for ATF. I think Mecron but do not recall for sure. I have seen Merc T&T fluid at Wal Mart. I have my Optimax manual on my computer I will check and see what it states. Just checked it says use Mercury power trim and steering fluid if not available use ATF

cheers Thanks stump jumper, haven't seen merc fluid at Walmart, I'll get some atf if need to thanks, Havent seen you post lately,but I lurk/ post in crappie forum. Hope all is good with you.

If you are low on fluid then you’d have a leak. Otherwise you’d not be low.

yep, unless it was under filled to begin with. Remember to tilt all the way up before unscrewing the cap.
