Besides fish!!!

Most of my interactions with customers involve big groups of folks, i.e. trade shows, food shows, sales meetings, etc. They've cancelled it all. This couldn't have come at a more appropriate timing....right at the start of spawn. Yes, I feel for the ones that have contracted the virus, but as I set in to a 7lber out of a bush, I will salute you and thank you and hope that you get better...all at the same time. Let's get it on!!

The next months will be a good time to go introspective and connect with those things that really matter in life. The three "F-words"...Family, friends and fishing.

Yep. My son and family are coming today for a visit today to get out of Dallas for a few days. I’ve got a brisket to smoke, good whiskey in the liquor cabinet, and an old car in the garage that we are going to try and get running right. Sometimes there is a silver lining,

On another note, my daughter in law’s mom, dad, and family live in Italy. She Skypes them most every day, so we should get a feel for what they are going through. Basically, I think they are locked down in their home for the foreseeable future. The death toll is high there.

Between covid-19 and spring break, the drive in to work this morning was rather pleasant.

Fish are already wet. They don't mind. Put on a rainsuit with a hood and enjoy. Some of my best fishing days have been in the rain.

I get that we have had a lot of rain with more to come so I expected to possibly see some puddling on the road but I never would have guessed that that the local highway workers would need to start wearing life preservers.

The high visibility is an added bonus on a kayak.
