I need to learn how to fish. I usually catch 0-5 when I go out there for a few hours.

Throw a wacky rigged Senko in and around docks. And over grass. It’s pretty much the easiest way to catch a bass known to man.

Ok, I went this morning and used a wacky rig for about 15 min but I was throwing it around grass and didn't get a bite. I let it sink a second and then start lightly popping it. Let it set and then pop it some more. Is this the correct way?

Thanks

Sounds good to me. Skip it under a dock and let it sink. Check the line, don’t pop it. If it hits bottom, lift it, then let it fall on slack line again. Senkos work on their own. You only need to put em where the fish are. Let the worm do the work.

Throw it out on as light of weight as you can get away with. Let it sink to the bottom. Let it sit. Then let it sit some more. If you absolutely insist on moving it, try not to move it more than an 1/2 inch. In the summer time you can fish it a little faster--like move it 1 inch at a time after letting it sit.

Waxahachie isn’t full on spawn. The 8 I caught this morning was in 1 ft of water under a dock walkway. Then I spent the next 4-1/2 hours trying to force fish to be under ever walkway and opening in the grass. Lol. The last three hours were spent sifting through little fish with a shaky head. The guys that won out there today always throw trigs and crigs. So, I think I may have wasted too much time shallow.

Appreciate the tips fellas. I'll take any advice I can get. Do y'all just drag Texas rig and Jigs across the bottom slowly?

If you can do 4/hour, year round, you are doing very good, even 3/hour. We all hit the ‘every cast’ dream occasionally but that’s out of the ordinary.
I once bagged 3 keepers in 3 casts right in front of another competitor....sure was fun!

I appreciate the heck out of the info fellas. I have been watching tons of videos trying to learn as much as I can but I must not be fishing the right part of the lake lol.

Best ever over 6, great 4, normal about 2, and of course there is skunky.
