I have never been able to catch crappie from the bank but I know it is possible, just thinking I'm probably not in the right spots. Any suggestions? Not asking for anything if you don't want your spot revealed. Just somewhere I can catch some crappie and bring it home without using a boat or crappie house. Hints or whatever are welcome. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I’ve heard some say they’ve had luck on joe pool at that park near Mansfield high. I’ve gone twice and haven’t caught anything, but neither time was during the spawn so you might get lucky. Just check the tpwd fishing report for the week and it’ll give you the water temp and spawning activities usually. If they’re spawning that little cove by the bridge below the railroad tracks I think would be a good spot. But like I said, I’ve never caught fish there so don’t get mad at me. Now if you want a guaranteed bite this week and don’t mind driving to white rock I can be more helpful.
