1. Price I don't like paying $30 for a spool of Fluorocarbon every time I need to change line.
2. Durability I can fish all year long with the same braid and never change it.
3. Sensitivity You can feel a perch fart
4, No memory
5. You can buy a 150 yd. spool of the best fluorocarbon and can make leaders out of it forever.

I went down to the water for an hour or two with my daughter. We saw 3-4 males on beds and caught 3 while blind casting around a drop shot.

Not Really

I have seen when braided line on CR made the difference

This exactly
You get a near perfect balance of low stretch on the hookset, then forgiveness close to the boat when the bass makes final surges and digs.

Numerous reasons...better control over the fish, increased sensitivity to feel bites, increased abrasion resistance, etc.

I checked with a fisheries biologist and he will neither confirm or deny that a perch will/will not fart in the presence of braided line.

You come to Athens with me, we fish with Carolina rigs with the exact same bait and same weight, I use flouro, you use braid, I will catch 18 fish to your two.

I will take that challenge. When are you available.

Paul Elias is one of the best at Carolina rigging and he said that he has experimented with long and short leaders and this is what he came up with and sticks with that. He reels the weight up to the tip of the rod and has the bait hang somewhere between the last two guides on the rod.

I want my knot between the reel and the first guide.
Knot will pass through the guides smoothly. 6-7ft leader
I tie a blood knot. Lot of good knots for Braid to Floro out there.

I use a flouro leader to braid because I fish a lot of clear water. I start with about a 10-12 ft leader tied on at least 4 rods. This long a leader I can retie baits or break off on a dock a couple times before I have to change the leader. I don't do well trying to tie Alberto knot leaders on in the boat when I'm in a hurry.

I like the low visible flouro at the bait but the braid is much better for line watching on the surface to detect bites.

Way less fighting with line twist on spinning reels with the braid over flouro.
