I'm thinking about hitting the Gateway Park area later tonight, anyone been there? I've heard it's kind of ghetto.
With all this rain, is there another place I should hit instead? The other places I'm considering are the spillways on Nutt Lake, 4th Street, and Beach street. Going for cats and gar, or pretty much anything that'll bite.

Gateway is sketchy in the evenings. Be aware of your surroundings at all times. But there are some good areas to toss a line in. Ill be back at these spots you mentioned next week as I have been battling a knee issue. Sucks getting old!! LOL. Tight lines!!

Gonna hit the river this weekend, hopefully we can take advantage of all this rain and get on some big gar!! TightLines!!

Gonna hit the river this weekend, hopefully we can take advantage of all this rain and get on some big gar!! TightLines!! The Trinity by my place in east fort worth was WAY up when I scouted a new spot this past weekend. Careful on those banks and GOOD LUCK!!!

Forgot about this thread, a few months ago, I caught a water body record Redear while fishing for bait. Try it for bass. It might surprise you! Been thinking about it!! Ive seen several people pull some monsters out!! Don't forget the trout especially the ones stocked for TRWD Flyfest...! MIght have to give it a try!! What is the gear setup on those pb catches? I run a carolina rig with 20 LB main line with a 50 LB leader. #6 Circle Hooks with a 2-3 OZ weights depending current.
