I fish a lot. There are days that I would like to catch.

I'd have banked the lure off his head.

Active, passive, shore, dock, boat, I'm a great fisherman no matter the "how" of it. Unfortunately catching is something else entirely.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

If I was any kind of heron I would be dead from starvation. Two trips over two days to cedar creek = two skinny fish.

One of my favorite ways to spend a warm summer evening... sitting under the lights on a pier.

Senko 95, I apologize for using language that is above your understanding. “I discovered” has many applications, such as; “I discovered a great new restaurant” or “I discovered that people enjoy sharing on this forum when others are total a-holes”. No wonder this place is near death.

I was working one weekend at a plant near Baton Rouge and there was a little 1/4 acre shallow pond out back.
I watched a white bird fishing for a while. He looked white but must have been a cross between a white heron and a blue herring.

He would creep around the edge in 6” water real stealthy and super slow. Would take a step and then reach out with the other foot to stir around in the weeds/moss. If a minnow darted out, BAM - he’d nail it. I watched him cover about 20’ in probably 15 minutes and he nailed 8 or so in that stretch. It was pretty cool to watch him work.
