You think the air in Odessa is bad you should taste their water. Should have tasted in the 70's when it all came from Spence. Tastes like Perrier compared to that stuff. I'm convinced drinking tap water in Odessa causes cancer. Stuff is horrible.Lived there from 86-99 still have to go back to see family.

Uh if I remember right I10 goes South of McCamey. That is 60 Miles South of Odessa. So where were you? Is it possible you were out by Rexall/Huntsman Plant on I20 or Hwy 385?

I worked there for 24 yrs. The last 10 or so they had the odor under control. It has been shut down for 10 plus yrs and mostly demolish for 5 or more.

Hey I am just trying to give him a landmark because he sure wasn't anywhere near I10 if he was 4 or 5 miles South of Odessa

It's quite a distance from I-30 down to I-10 out there. And McCamey is still quite a bit north of I-10. But you can get those smells on 285 going from Fr. Stockton to Pecos. The smells are on 18 and 1053, On Us 67 and on down to I-10. I blame it on all the new windmills they've set up blowing it everywhere.

So the windmills are blowing the smell? Along with powering treadmills for scientific experiments involving airplanes, the windmills have the added benefit of killing birds and blowing smells across entire counties.
Team wolfs I had to perform. It took a minute to get it all in my mouth and another five to swallow it all.

[quote=machinist] Hey this is a GPS screen shot of where I was. Was on the road all day yesterday. Between Houston and Beaumont we were on a stretch with construction and those jersey barriers stretching on for miles. Both lanes came to an abrupt stop. Truck right next to me stopped and then 3 seconds later he got slammed into. Felt really bad. Truck behind him either had bad brakes or wasn’t paying attention at all. Then about an hour later I almost saw a truck spin out on when he veered a little too far on the shoulder and overcorrected. Man, that would have been really bad. Crazy, crazy drive. I am trying to upload a picture. Not succeeding right now. Basically where I was on 10 would have been almost straight down from Odessa and Crane.
