Let's see if anybody wants to participate in this.
If your casting soft plastics to spawning crappie using small lead jigheads (1/6oz). If you'll scrape the Jighead with a knife before super glueing the plastic to the Jigheads, the plastic will last most of the day and won't pull off of the Jighead.
Super Glue gel is far superior to regular super glue.
20# test Power Pro works well on small spinning reels if you can live with it through the break in process. Line conditioner works wonders here.
Pflueger President (6920) makes a good small spinning reel for casting small lures in the Spring. I have some that are 10 years old and still operate really smooth.
What have you learned over the years that can save Crappie fisherman time on the learning curve?

Don't clean the screen on the HB unit with a rag that has slime on it.

For those of us that need reading glasses, a sewing needle threader can make putting ther line thru the hook eye a lot easier if you don't have your glasses.

I would rather die finding out there was no God than die finding out there is.

If your looking for a good 2" curly tail grub, Yum makes one I've been using for a couple of years.
Color selection isn't great, but with a bottle of Spikeit dipping dye it can be any color you want!

Spawning crappie are much easier to catch after dark than they are at any time during the day. One hour after dark they will hit most anything pearl white in a 2" size.
The white light on the back of the boat doesn't seem to bother them and you can see where your casting and to take your fish off.
