In my opinion this is the indigenous home of the grey and white beadchain clouser minnow. All kidding aside it was great spring day on the San Gabriel here in sunny central Texas. River was up a bit thanks to the rains midweek, thank the Lord they came. The bump in flow was just enough to get some more fish upstream and active. Took home a dozen sandies and one big black crappie at about 15 inches. Amazingly all males, including the crappie, again. Not bad for two and half hours on the river.

Not the best shot of fish but I rarely think of such things on the water unless someone is with me.

Hey Bones,
Just out of curiosity, were you fishing the area of the river where we are having the conclave next month?
