March 6th, 1836 -- Alamo falls to Mexican army On this day in 1836, the fortified compound of San Antonio de Valero Mission, under siege for thirteen days by the Mexican army under General Antonio Lòpez de Santa Anna, was subjected to an early morning assault. After a fierce battle, lasting for perhaps some 90 minutes, the defenses of the Alamo were overrun and all the defenders were killed. The chapel fell last. The slogan "Remember the Alamo!" subsequently became a rallying cry for the Texas Revolution, and the Alamo became a shrine to fallen Texas heroes. Up to five men died at the Alamo whose names were never recorded in history. God Bless Texas!!!
Ephesians 4:4-6 KJV
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

A lot of Mexican names in that list, that’s what makes Texas and America great
call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

Juan Seguin didn't die at the Alamo. Although he might have been better off if he had. What happened to him is another heartbreaking story from history

Juan Seguin didn't die at the Alamo. Although he might have been better off if he had. What happened to him is another heartbreaking story from history He fought at the Battle of San Jacinto, and you are right about what happened to him. There are 254 Counties in Texas and it's amazing how many of the names on that list are also on the list of County names.

The Sutherland's were ancestors on my momma's side. John Sutherland was dispatched by Travis to Gonzalez to get help. He wasn't at The Alamo when it fell. http://www.sonsofdewittcolony.org//sthland1.htm
