OP Dognot TFF Celebrity Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 6,757 Texas	The Buttermilk thread got me to thinking, What other foods did your parents eat that you don't? We used to eat Mush. Boiled and fried corn meal with black strap molasses. We ate fried baloney and potted meat too.I haven't had any in years. What was your parents go to food.My parents grew up during the depression . Add to the list Pinto beans with Cornbread with Cornbread in sweet Milk, Liver and Onions, fried Gizzards, and every now and then some boiled Okra. Did you know that Spam now comes in individual slices where all you have to do is put it in between two slices of bread with some mustard?
