At 11:58 today I pulled the plug. Having a drink now, watching a fishing show, and planning dinner.
Life is good.

I plan on retiring about a week after I die.
My wife will be retiring from the fire department in about 6 years, well before she turns 50.
Team wolfs I had to perform. It took a minute to get it all in my mouth and another five to swallow it all.

I’m planning on 50. Only 26 years to go. I want to retire in Utah.

I say that I'll work until I'm 70, so I have a little over 10 years to go. If I'm still feeling good, I may work until 80. I just like to work and I like my job. I live to work, not work to live.....

I'm 55, don't think I will ever retire, this fishing hobby I have is just way too expensive.

According to the conversation I had with my boss yesterday, looks like the end of the month for me(64). At least they are providing a nice early retirement package.
Keep looking forward. That’s why windshields are larger than rear view mirrors.

Took an early retirement package at age 52 and that was 20 years ago. Have been working part time (maybe 1/3 of the time) with a company doing mostly training with no pressure, no employees reporting to me and can work when I want to. I have been doing this for 11 years and really l enjoy it.

Hoping to get the boys through college and then I'm done. That will be about 22 years from now. I'll be about 60. Then it's ranch time and salt life.

Officially retired 20 years ago at age 50 with 32 years of government service. Since then I had my own business feeding deer, got basically taxed out of that. Then I drove an 18 wheeler for a year, decided too much time away from home and quit that. Took a class for EMT, passed, worked that for a year, took another class for advanced EMT and passed and so now that is what I are, working 48 on and 96 off. Retired in between times. The tax people love me.
